The Job Description
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care to our residents. This includes assisting with daily living tasks such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other activities of daily living.
* You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide comprehensive care to our residents, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
* Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with our residents and colleagues.
* You will be required to assist with social activities and help our residents continue with their hobbies and interests.
* Other responsibilities include answering the nurse call system, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our residents.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
* A FETEC/NFQ 5 qualification or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
Main Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
* Assisting residents with daily living tasks, such as washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other activities of daily living.
* Providing support and assistance to residents who require it, while promoting their independence and dignity.
* Working collaboratively with our nursing staff to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
* Assisting with social activities and helping residents continue with their hobbies and interests.
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment for our residents.
