Job Description
Shipmates Restaurant, Dungarvan Road, Ardmore, Co Waterford-P36KP64 is seeking to recruit 2 Chef de Partie positions (permanent full‑time, 39 hours per week, €36,700 per annum). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience at Chef de Partie level in a busy professional kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
Food preparation and cooking according to menu and guidelines.
Ensuring food quality standards are consistently met.
Assisting the Executive Chef in controlling margins regarding purchasing from suppliers, kitchen ordering, stock control, portion size, and menu planning.
Operating the “clean as we go” policy, including personal cleaning duties.
Supporting the Head Chef in training kitchen assistants to company standards and procedures.
Maintaining open relationships with all departments and team members.
Ensuring HACCP regulations and health & safety practices are observed.
Implementing policies determined by the management team promptly.
