CPL is working with a leading company in the eCommerce sector to hire an experienced financial leader.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of the business, managing a small finance team.
Responsibilities include overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate closely with the leadership team to set financial goals, define business strategy, and drive long-term growth initiatives.
* Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. Provide data-driven insights, scenario modelling, and recommendations to improve profitability and cash flow.
* Operations & Financial Oversight: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, cash management, financial reporting, and compliance.
* Team Leadership: Lead and build a high-performing finance team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for staff.
* Business Partnerships: Partner with other departments (e.g. Marketing, IT) to ensure alignment of financial targets with business goals.
* Financial Systems & Processes: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including ERP system and process improvements to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualified Accountant - minimum 3 years in a similar role
* Proven experience as a FC, ideally in a fast-growing environment
* Skilled in modern accounting systems and data visualisation experience an advantage
* Experience in working capital and cash flow management
* Strong financial accounting and key metrics skills
* Experience developing and managing a highly efficient finance team
* Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and ability to analyse complex financial data
* Hands-on, results-driven approach with a willingness to execute day-to-day financial activities
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Experience working directly with CEOs and executive teams
