Key Job Responsibilities
Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
Maintain existing co‑located and in‑house Data Centres.
Help build and bring online new Data Centres.
Constantly improve all processes and procedures.
Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
Ensure we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centres.
Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilise those metrics to drive positive changes.
Assist in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
About You
You have previous management experience, managing teams of high performers.
You can refine and develop processes to optimise operational excellence in every area of your role.
You can drive performance levels to achieve the pace we build and operate our Data Centres.
You have previous experience in Data Centres, either building or managing (or both), and exposure to developing great relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.
You have a passion for technology and a desire to be the best at your job every day.
About The Role
As a Data Center Manager in Amazon Web Services, you will manage the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure. You will encounter interesting, challenging, and complex problems every day, and as a technical manager you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Experience in data center engineering or operations.
Experience in people management and team development.
Experience managing complex and fast‑moving issues.
Experience analyzing metrics to drive business improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
Experience collecting, analysing, and utilising data to drive process and system improvements.
