Senior Ecologist Role
Our Dublin-based organization seeks an accomplished Senior Ecologist to spearhead ecological consultancy services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage individual contracts to guarantee high-quality ecological consultancy services delivery
* Provide specialist ecological advice across various projects
* Plan, conduct, and oversee site ecological surveys and fieldwork
* Prepare and supervise the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
* Conduct Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reports
* Write detailed technical reports and project deliverables
* Ensure quality control with a focus on accuracy, timelines, and continuous improvement of the Ecology team's output
* Act as expert witness during Oral Hearings
Requirements:
* Degree in ecology or related discipline
* At least seven years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy
* Member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or comparable professional body
* Comprehensive knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation
* Strong technical report writing skills
* Proven experience in preparing and overseeing the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
* Collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams
* Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
