Overall Job Role
- Work with Urogynaecology Consultants and healthcare professionals in triaging urogynaecology referrals to manage waiting lists and improve patient pathways.
- Provide initial care following referral triage and coordinate with the urogynaecology service as needed.
- Attend clinics with relevant Consultants or Specialist Registrars.
- Deliver advanced physiotherapy assessment, management, and treatment for patients referred from gynaecology services, as part of NWHIP and scheduled care services at Coombe Hospital.
- Manage urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and related conditions in accordance with guidelines and under obstetric/gynecological team governance.
- Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication.
- Promote clinical effectiveness and high standards of evidence-based care.
- Evaluate and develop the clinical specialist role through audits and research.
- Provide expert leadership for Women's Health and Continence physiotherapy colleagues.
- Represent the hospital in external lecturing and national groups to enhance care standards.
- Evaluate service performance, record KPIs, and report to management and NWHIP.
