Network Designer Job Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Network Designer, where you will be responsible for creating safe and efficient network designs. The successful candidate will have the ability to translate scope and policy requirements into constructable designs, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
Job Description
The Network Designer will be responsible for preparing high-quality designs, calculating electrical loads, developing costs, producing design drawings, and measuring design clearances on electricity networks from LV to 38kV. They will also prepare Scopes of work, costing templates, and safety documentation, while maintaining commercial focus by preparing least cost technically acceptable designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or a suitable Level 7 or higher qualification in Electrical, Electrical Services, Electronics, Mechanical, or other suitable alternative qualification with a sizeable electrical theory content.
* A full clean driving license.
* Ability to implement standards and policies to ensure optimum design.
* Knowledge of ESB network assets, including substations, lines, cables, protection, and metering.
* Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
* Knowledge of ESB IT systems.

Location
The positions will be based in Kerry/Limerick/Clare/Waterford.
The successful candidate will report to the relevant Design Manager, Delivery Assurance, Network Customer & Project Delivery.
