Job DescriptionRecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.We are hiring Bariatric Clinical Nurse Specialist for a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland Responsibilities Patients should be prepared for surgery by evaluations, education, and preparedness.
Post-operative care should include wound care, complication screening, and hospital evaluations.
Handle patient phone and email inquiries and follow-up.
Organize MDT scheduling and interact with both internal and external teams.
Conduct education sessions prior to admission and discharge.
Throughout the patient journey, provide psychological and emotional support.
Teach ward/staff nurses manual handling techniques and bariatric protocols.
To assess the results of care, conduct research and audits.
Organize and keep up with bariatric patient databases, such as the National Bariatric Surgery Registry.
Create annual summaries and monthly activity reports.
Keep up with the latest evidence-based bariatric care.RequirementsThe area is relevant postgraduate training in obesity management, bariatric nursing, or a similar field.
(Level 8 or above) Dedication to pursuing an Advanced Nursing Practice Level 9 certification.Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, or NMBI.
It would be ideal to have additional training in clinical leadership or healthcare administration.
A minimum of five years of acute hospital experience after registration.
At least two years of experience providing care for patients with obesity, bariatrics, or surgery.
Demonstrated proficiency in professional presentations, writing, and verbal communication.
Excellent teaching abilities with the capacity to guide and train clinical staff.
Exhibited good problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and clinical judgment.
