We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Cable Pulling PICW to oversee and manage a dedicated cable pulling crew across multiple utility and infrastructure projects in Meath, Kildare, Dublin.
Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on all worksites.
Conduct site surveys to assess safety, resources, traffic management, and supervision needs prior to work commencement.
Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of cables and materials as per project drawings and specifications.
Manage the daily operations of the cable pulling crew, including supervision of winch operation and equipment handling.
Liaise with the Works Manager to align work schedules with project deadlines.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and work schedules.
Resolve on-site challenges promptly and effectively.
Provide guidance, instruction, and mentoring to team members.
Support continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and work quality.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within cable pulling or utilities.
Strong understanding of electrical network systems (HV, MV, LV).
Proven leadership and communication skills.
Experience operating cable winches and handling cable drums (preferred).
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality.
Desirable Attributes
PICW certification or equivalent.
Knowledge of utility industry best practices.
Willingness to travel across multiple sites.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
