David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd is a family-owned business, providing a wide range of high-quality civil engineering, utility infrastructure and residential construction services and solutions throughout Ireland.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a Site Agent to work on Civil Engineering projects being delivered in the Southeast Region. This is a full-time role suitable to a candidate who wants to progress their career in the civil engineering industry with a recognised industry leader.
Minimum Requirements:
· 5+ years' proven experience as a Site Agent (or similar role) on civil engineering projects including groundworks, roads, ESB, and utilities.
· Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
· Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
· Oversee civils/utilities projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, programme, and quality standards.
· Maintain thorough and accurate project records, including documentation, reports, and photographic evidence, to capture progress across the project lifecycle
· Plan and schedule construction activities, allocating resources efficiently.
· Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to deliver on project requirements.
· Monitor progress, identifying and resolving issues quickly to minimise delays.
· Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control procedures.
· Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and best practices.
· Report on project status to senior management and clients.
