This role sits at the core of trading operations, supporting and optimizing mission-critical, high-performance front office systems.
You'll work closely with traders, quants, software engineers, and infrastructure teams, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across European trading platforms.
This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working in low-latency environments, and having a direct impact on business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary support contact for traders and quants, ensuring optimal performance of front office trading applications.
Collaborate with technology teams to enhance application stability, scalability, and efficiency.
Monitor and manage server environments across multiple European co-location sites.
Maintain and enhance batch scheduling systems and monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot complex application/system issues using log analysis and diagnostics tools.
Proactively implement monitoring and alerting solutions to preempt system outages.
Lead infrastructure and environment-related projects such as hardware refreshes and new software deployments.
Required Technical Skills
Proficiency in managing networked application systems (Windows Server 2012/2019, databases).
Scripting capabilities in Python, PowerShell, or Windows Batch.
Strong troubleshooting abilities using logs, system tracing, and network diagnostics.
Familiarity with batch scheduling tools and monitoring systems (e.g., Splunk, Check_mk).
Technical degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
