Key Purpose of the Role
Tate Europe seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management to lead on-site delivery and execution of products across Europe. This role involves overseeing site safety, optimizing pre-delivery processes, and ensuring the timely and safe delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, extensive construction industry experience (preferably within Data Centers), and a proven track record of operational excellence and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage Tate's project management team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship for successful project execution.
2. Oversee on-site delivery of products across Europe, ensuring safety compliance and adherence to project timelines.
3. Develop and implement pre-delivery processes to optimize project safety and timeliness.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
5. Drive initiatives to streamline project management and increase productivity.
6. Monitor project performance metrics and report regularly to senior management on progress, risks, and opportunities.
7. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the team and organization.
8. Support team members with guidance and mentorship, promoting a collaborative, high-performance environment.
9. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
10. Identify opportunities for cost savings, value engineering, and revenue growth.
11. Oversee design development and client technical submissions with the engineering team.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or related field; Master's preferred.
2. Extensive construction industry experience, with a focus on Data Centres and interior fit-outs preferred.
3. Proven success in operational excellence and process improvement in project management leadership roles.
4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
5. Excellent leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
7. Experience in multicultural environments and managing international projects is advantageous.
8. PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
9. Willingness to travel approximately 15-25% of the time.
