About the Role
Raheny Medical, part of Centric Health, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practice Nurse to join our established GP practice. This role is suitable for a nurse who has proven experience working within a GP setting in Ireland and who is confident delivering a full scope of general practice nursing services independently.
Essential Requirements (All Criteria Must Be Met)
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration
Demonstrated experience working in a GP practice in Ireland
Strong competency in phlebotomy
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
High level of computer literacy
Excellent written and spoken English
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing work practices
Must be living in Ireland with an Irish address at the time of application
Key Clinical Responsibilities
Immunisation
Infant and childhood vaccinations
Flu and other routine vaccinations
Travel Medicine
Travel vaccinations
Travel health advice
Chronic Disease Management
Blood pressure monitoring
Cholesterol testing and lifestyle advice
Nursing management of chronic respiratory disease and diabetes
Women's Health
Cervical screening
Family planning services
Sexual Health
Opportunistic STI screening
Sexual health education and advice
Skin & Wound Care
Management of venous leg ulcers
Assessment and treatment of wounds and lacerations
Nursing management of chronic skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis)
General Nursing Duties
Health promotion and patient education
Telephone triage and clinical advice
Phlebotomy
Ear irrigation
Administration of prescribed long‑term medications and injections
