Senior Site Engineer Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on one of the largest projects in County Kerry. This 2-year position requires exceptional leadership and technical expertise to ensure project compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure design compliance with project specifications and construction drawings.
* Liaise with design consultants for design queries and revisions.
* Coordinate with the design team to issue IFC drawings promptly.
* Communicate design changes to relevant parties, including site and setting-out engineers.
* Oversee technical submittals and ensure approvals are in place.
* Verify and approve setting out by junior engineers.
* Audit and approve survey control points, levels, and coordinates.
* Monitor as-built surveys accuracy.
* Assist the Quality Manager in developing the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for civil and concrete works.
* Ensure proper sampling, testing, and certification of concrete.
* Conduct site inspections for design and quality compliance.
* Verify rebar placement, formwork quality, and concrete pour operations.
* Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in site engineering and construction supervision.
* Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and quality control standards.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and surveying equipment.
* Health & Safety certification desirable.
