Project Leader
Our organization is seeking a skilled Project Leader to oversee high-profile projects within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Department across Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with internal management teams and external partners to plan and track project delivery.
2. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Manage project resources and allocate tasks effectively to meet predefined goals.
4. Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while actively managing risks and developing mitigation plans.
5. Lead and attend all project-related meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
6. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and control key deliverables that impact timelines.
7. Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure regular meetings include training and safety reviews.
8. Conduct quality audits to ensure site Quality Control standards are met.
9. Develop and implement effective strategies for resource allocation and continuous improvement.
10. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
Requirements:
1. Relevant trade or engineering qualification.
2. 5+ years' experience in electrical infrastructure or construction project management.
3. Valid Health & Safety certification.
4. Proven track record of delivering complex electrical substation projects.
5. In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
6. Strong stakeholder and team management skills.
7. Experience working on high-voltage projects and a deep understanding of engineering best practices.
8. Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with BIM software.
9. Flexible and adaptable with excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. Commitment to continuous improvement and team development.
