We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business.You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems that drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple sites.What You'll Be Doing;Designing and delivering automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processesProgramming, testing, and validating PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and control systemsWorking with project teams to integrate automation into new and existing equipmentSupporting Maintenance and Production teams with troubleshooting and fault findingManaging contractors and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standardsConducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures for automated systemsDriving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing machine performanceProviding training and technical support to site personnelOccasional travel to company and OEM sites to support project deliveryWhat We're Looking For;Degree (or equivalent apprenticeship) in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline5+ years' experience in automation engineering, ideally within manufacturingStrong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial networksExperience with robotics, vision systems, or advanced automation (desirable)Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD knowledge an advantageFlexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team Interested?
