Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Introduction
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Management: Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and budget management throughout the lifecycle of the project, from pre-construction through to completion.
2. Contract Administration: Review and manage contracts, including ensuring compliance with terms, variations, and timely payments to contractors and suppliers.
3. Procurement: Assist in the procurement process by obtaining tenders, analysing quotes, and assisting in contractor selection.
4. Measurement and Valuation: Conduct on-site measurements and valuations for both progress claims and final accounts.
5. Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, proposing appropriate solutions to minimise costs and delays.
6. Team Liaison: Work closely with contractors and project teams to ensure the financial aspects of the project meet expectations.
7. Reporting: Provide regular reports on cost forecasts, actual expenditures, and potential financial risks to project managers and senior stakeholders.
8. Cost Control: Ensure that project costs remain within budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track all changes to the initial scope.
9. Final Accounts: Oversee the preparation and settlement of final accounts at project completion.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Professional Accreditation: Membership of a recognised professional body, such as the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction processes, costs, contracts, and regulations within the Irish market.
* Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiar with construction software such as Cost X, Buildsoft, or similar.
* Personal Attributes: High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
