About the role
As a Procurement Buyer – Indirect Procurement, you will lead strategic sourcing activities within your category to secure long‑term supply, optimize delivered costs, and build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies for low to medium complexity categories, negotiate optimal terms, and support supply continuity and continuous improvement. The role also involves partnering with cross‑functional teams, developing deep category expertise, managing supplier performance and compliance, and contributing to value creation and strong KPI delivery across the business.
This is a permanent, full‑time role based in Naas, operating in a hybrid model combining remote work and time in the office. Applications will be accepted until 2nd February.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing and tendering strategies for low‑ to medium‑complexity categories, considering scale, strategic importance, risk level, commercial models, supplier base and pricing variables.Build strong category and industry knowledge, becoming the procurement expert and a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.Maintain strong cross‑functional relationships with key functionsManage all aspects of supplier risk and drive Total Cost of Ownership (PIP) reductions through cross‑functional cost‑improvement initiatives.Build and manage relationships with key suppliers.Ensure supplier compliance with required business standardsSupport Working Capital Management by coordinating efforts to standardise payment terms with suppliers.Conduct supplier benchmarking and participate in workshops.Manage e‑tendering activities and contract lifecycle processes.Support margin management, pricing activities, business linkage and governance processes.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related discipline.APICS/CIPS certification highly preferred.Strong collaboration and consultation skills; comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.Effective matrix‑management capabilities.Strong negotiation abilities.Solutions‑focused, with excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.Solid project‑management skills.
