APPENDIX 1Job DescriptionJOB TITLEPackaging Operations TechnicianDEPARTMENTManufacturing (Packaging)Reports To (job Title)Packaging SupervisorApproved ByDerek WardDate Approved Position SummaryThis role relates to the secondary packaging and visual inspection of pharmaceutical products for Global markets in line with relevant regulatory and cGMP standards using a mixture of automatic and manual packaging linesKey ResponsibilitiesPackaging and/or visual inspection of Product across multiple packaging lines that can operate on a 24/7Set up and operate and troubleshoot Secondary packaging assembly line equipment in a biologics processing environment for plasma derived pharmaceuticals.Ability to learn new processes within GrifolsThis role involves critical visual inspection tasks that require accurate colour differentiation and 20/20 vision (corrective lenses permitted, not contact lens). These visual capabilities are essential to ensure the safety and quality control of the product.Recruitment CriteriaApplicants must have normal colour vision, due to the nature of colour-based tasks performed in this role.A colour vision test will be included as part of the pre-employment screening process.Successful candidates will be required to pass a colour vision assessment prior to receiving an employment offer.Completion of Batch documentation and associated recordsReconciliation of materialsSupport new staff in knowledge transferAttention of detail in dutiesPerform wrapping of pallets and associated SAP transaction when requiredEnsure Training is up to datePerform other duties as requested by Team Leader/Supervisor/ ManagementKEY COMPETENCIES(if applicable)Refer to Grifols map.PERSON SPECIFICATIONEssentialDesirableKnowledge & SkillsMust be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.Self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment.Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift /move up to 50 pounds.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods - up to four (4) hours at a time.Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.Manual dexterity to perform all job functions.Previous experience in a Packaging or Manufacturing industryCompetent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, ExcelComprehensive knowledge and understanding of cGMPs, EU regulations, and industry guidelines highly preferred.Belt certified (Yellow, Green or Black)QualificationsMinimum leaving cert from Secondary school or equivalentMinimum of B.Sc Degree or equivalent third level educationEmployee SignatureSignature: Date: Block capitals: Manager SignatureSignature: Date: Block capitals: Note: Due to the nature of the business additional duties may be assigned from time to time.
