We specialise in the installation and maintenance of HVAC solutions to a range of customers in Food Processing and Pharmaceutical sectors as well as a range of other sectors.
Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to join our team.
This is a full-time, permanent role in either the Dublin or Wexford office.
Key Responsibilities
The Estimator will be responsible for the preparation of detailed tenders
Conduct periodic review of work practices to identify appropriate cost saving measures
Quantify material, plant and labour requirements for relevant projects
Analyse sub-contractor quotations, checking inclusions and exclusions
Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors
Issue tender queries and prepare tender reportsSource and categorise pre-project information
Create a procurement schedule for the project
Prepare cost reports and detailed estimates
Complete the final handover to the project team
The Candidate
Relevant degree or trade background
A minimum of 5 years' previous experience in Estimating with a main Building Services contractor
Tendering experience with a knowledge or background in HVAC industry or similar would be highly desirable
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
Experience in pricing projects, working autonomously and within a team
Experience working towards tight deadlines and budgets
A clear understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines is strongly preferred
Analytical mindset
Strong negotiation skills
High attention to detail
Willingness to learn and be flexible as required
Able to promote a positive personal/professional profile
Role will be primarily office based but will require some travel to sites throughout the country evaluating potential work
