* Prior experience in the construction or infrastructure space is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities & Reporting Structure
Reporting into the Commercial Finance Lead, this role forms an integral part of the Group Finance team. Responsibilities include:
* Project Performance Monitoring: Evaluate and track financial performance of ongoing projects, working closely with Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams.
* Forecasting & Financial Planning: Lead the preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly reviews tied to project metrics.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Build productive relationships with internal teams to understand cost dynamics and revenue patterns; influence key decisions.
* ERP Optimization & Process Development: Enhance financial reporting systems and support improvements to operational transparency and productivity tracking.
* Cash Flow Management: Keep close oversight of receivables and work-in-progress (WIP) to ensure optimal working capital position.
* Site Integration: Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence to ensure timely, accurate reporting and foster a detailed understanding of project realities.
* Financial Controls: Partner with the financial accounting team to validate project-related balance sheet items.
* Compliance & Governance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to relevant safety and regulatory standards.
