Senior Access Consultant

This role goes beyond compliance — you will help organisations future-proof their operations by embedding accessibility and inclusive practice across everything they do.
As a Senior Consultant, you will bridge the gap between
technical standards and strategic execution
, leading complex projects for national and global clients across multiple sectors.
What You'll Do:
Expert Advisory
* Develop accessibility guidelines and toolkits
* Lead access audits, Maturity Model Assessments, benchmarking, and Universal Design reviews
* Work across the built environment, information provision, learning & development, people & talent, and service provision
Strategic Impact
* Support inclusive design strategies from concept to completion
* Embed accessibility into corporate culture, ICT, and information provision
Technical Excellence
* Apply expert knowledge of TGD M, the Disability Act 2005, the European Accessibility Act, and the UNCRPD
Training & Mentoring
* Design and deliver high-impact training programmes
* Provide technical supervision and mentoring to junior and mid-level consultants
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients
* Facilitate workshops and represent the organisation at industry events
What We're Looking For:
Essential Criteria
* 5+ years' experience in one or more of the following:
* Access Consulting, Disability Inclusion, Universal Design, or Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
* Proven experience leading accessibility assessments and delivering high-quality, actionable reports
* Strong knowledge of disability access legislation and standards
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects
* A collaborative, team-focused approach
Desirable
* Professional accreditation or membership (e.g. IAAP)
* Background in DEI, Building Surveying, Occupational Therapy, or a related discipline
* Experience in training delivery or instructional design
