We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Cook to join our team and plan & prepare wholesome meals for our Client's residents and staff. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare balanced meals, considering dietary needs, budget and available ingredients
* Manage stock levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed
* Receive deliveries and check quality & completeness
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
* Adhere to all food hygiene and safety regulations, including completion of HACCP records
* Work collaboratively with Client staff
* Engage respectfully with residents, offering kindness and empathy
Person Specification
* Previous experience cooking for groups (professional kitchen or large-scale catering preferred)
* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
* Ability to plan menus on a budget and adapt to seasonal produce
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
* A caring and non-judgmental approach
* HACCP Level 2 food hygiene certification or equivalent
* Diploma from a culinary school an advantage
* Experience working with vulnerable communities an advantage
