Software Engineering Manager - Hands-on (Kotlin)- 1 day in office every couple of weeks€120 to €140k plus excellent benefits Are you a seasoned engineering manager who still likes to stay close to the tech and getting your hands dirty with the code? This role will fulfill all of those needs.
A large-ish multinational e Comm company are looking for someone who can blend the following with ease:1: People leadership - Setting 1 to 1s, setting goals and KPIs etc2: Technical architecture - Sitting in on design meetings.3: Product focused - Meeting with the heads of product frequently and assessing tech feasibilities.4: Hands-on development when called upon to give your team a dig out.
You will oversee a team of 5 or 6 engineers, guiding them through new feature development etc.
From a hands-on technical perspective, you will have experience with: React/Type Script (Not a deal breaker as this role is heavily backend leaning)JVM languages - Scala, Java or Kotlin on backend AWS or Azure experience This role would suit someone who is looking to work in a scale-up environment, little red tape, access to the VP of eng on a consistent basis, lots of ambiguity and thriving in such environments, and the overall wear many hats.
This role is majority remote, they would like people to come to the office 2 times per month for in-person collaboration.
