Leitrim Reporting To: Proprietor/Senior ManagementRole SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations & Bar Manager to lead our team and manage the beverage operations across all three bars at Mc Hugh's, Carrick-on-Shannon. The ideal candidate is a highly customer-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a proven track record in successful bar management. This is a working management role, requiring the individual to lead by example, execute tasks alongside staff, and take full ownership of the venue's operational flow, atmosphere, and ultimate guest satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational & Bar ManagementManage the smooth daily operation of the entire beverage service across all three bars within the property.Oversee and manage stock levels (ordering, intake, inventory), ensuring optimal flow and accurate take.Control all financial systems including tills, float change, and card machine operations.Establish, implement, and maintain high-standard Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the property.Manage comprehensive closing procedures, ensuring all areas meet rigorous cleaning and security standards.Be hands-on in all duties, working alongside staff to ensure checklists are completed and daily tasks are executed efficiently.Team Leadership & DevelopmentManage and lead the current bar team, fostering a positive, professional, and efficient working environment.Exhibit strong people management skills, including effective staff delegation during busy operations.Ensure all staff roles are clearly defined and that monitoring checklists are not only completed but assisted where necessary.Actively assist in putting new procedures in place to continuously improve efficiency and standards.Customer Experience & AtmosphereBe highly customer-focused, striving to go the "extra bit" to make the customer not just satisfied, but delighted with their treatment.Proactively manage the overall venue atmosphere, controlling details like lighting, music, and general presentation.Manage bookings and oversee event preparation, ensuring smooth execution for private parties and scheduled events.Candidate Requirements & ProfileThe successful candidate will be an energetic and forward-thinking individual with a desire to add creativity to our current food and beverage concept.Experience: Proven operational management background in a busy, successful bar operation is essential. Must come from a very strong bar background with a proven track record in a similar leadership role.Operational Acumen: Exceptional attention to detail required for managing stock, cash, and cleaning standards.Market Awareness: Good understanding of current market trends for new concepts in the bar sector to drive innovation.Leadership Style: Must be a very hands-on manager, leading by example and able to manage staff effectively while maintaining an enthusiastic and positive environment.Customer Focus: Must be very customer focused and genuinely enjoy the direct interaction and service aspect of the job.Job Type: Full-timePay: €80,000.00-€90,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
