Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and presented properly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Assist in inventory management and food cost control
Collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house for smooth service
Adapt to special dietary requests and allergy considerations
Maintain consistency and quality under pressure
Requirements:
Proven experience as a cook or chef
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work, weekends, and holidays as needed
Team player with a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary training or degree (not required, but a plus)
Level 3 HACCP
Experience with [mention cuisine if specific, e.g., Asian fusion, BBQ, etc.]
Leadership experience (for lead cook or sous chef role)
