Automotive Business Unit - Test Development Engineer
The Automotive Business Unit is looking for a Test Development Engineer to participate in a silicon development team responsible for industry-leading Ethernet-to-the-edge (E2B) and mixed signal data connectivity products for the Automotive market. This role involves working in a hands-on environment that fosters learning and encourages innovative problem solving.
Responsibilities:
1. Interface as a central resource with project managers, design, verification, applications, marketing, software, reliability, manufacturing, and failure analysis teams as products move from design to high-volume production.
2. Participate in solving engineering product development challenges within a multidisciplinary team.
3. Validate and debug new Integrated Circuit (IC) products.
4. Develop functional and electrical tests for new products using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
5. Simulate Verilog test cases and translate them to ATE for IC debugging and manufacturing testing.
6. Perform electrical characterization of all product datasheet parameters.
7. Support the release of innovative Automotive processing and connectivity products to volume manufacturing.
8. Contribute to the development of advanced IC package solutions.
9. Design hardware for manufacturing test and characterization.
10. Gain proficiency in IC functionality, including internal circuit operation and board-level system/circuit interface details.
11. Collaborate with Design, Applications, and Systems Engineering teams.
12. Specify Design for Test features during new product development.
13. Coordinate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Reliability teams to ensure successful product development and release.
Relevant Skills & Qualifications:
* BEng or MEng in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Circuit knowledge including analog & digital circuits, Power Management, signals and systems, ADCs, DACs, optical, high-speed serial interfaces, microcontrollers, DSPs.
* Experience with circuit evaluation and characterization using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
* Working knowledge of Visual BASIC, Python, HTML, and/or C/C++.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work well within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
