Job Description
Job Title General Operative – Egg Packer
Contract type Full Time Permanent (on passing 6 months' probation period)
Reporting to Production Manager
Location Greenfield Foods, Mullandava, Smithboro, Co. Monagahan H18YY33
Pay Terms Wages are paid on a weekly basis
Duties Include
* Ensure packs are boxed quickly and correctly. E.g. bar code and box are correct for product.
* Switch off machine when printer lights flash and inform Supervisor/Manager.
* Check dates on eggs and packs to make sure they correspond.
* Place label on pallets of shrink/wrap.
* Keep overflow lane cleared.
* To help out at lanes that are under pressure
* To keep around boxtaper clear and put full pallets of shrink-wrap out in despatch as soon as possible.
* To ensure that breakages are cleaned.
* To keep pans and areas at back of grader clean.
* Keep rubbish and cardboard under control.
* Put a dated Seconds label onto seconds pallet and remove out to correct area (if not busy).
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction
* Ability to work well in a team
* Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
* Knowledge and experience in a food manufacturing environment an advantage, but not essential
* Have a 'can do' attitude.

Working hours
* General Operative employees core hours are 8am to 4:15 pm Monday to Friday, however, you are expected to be co-operative in working outside these hours if necessary.
* General Operative employees are required to work Saturdays from 8am-4:15pm in rotation with the other grader staff (generally one Saturday each month)
* In busier seasons, Sunday work may also become available.
* Public Holidays – General Operative employees are required to work Public Holidays in rotation with the other Grader staff
