Healthcare Manager – Quality and Compliance
Mowlam Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Manager – Quality and Compliance to join its Care Services Team.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Director of Care Services, Healthcare Managers, and Directors of Nursing to promote and implement systemic quality improvements in healthcare, enhance regulatory compliance and safety throughout Mowlam Healthcare Group.
This role will support the Director of Care Services in developing clinical practice and innovation to improve the quality of residents' experience and care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the Quality and Safety Management System to ensure safe, effective, person-centered care;
* Collaborate with the Director of Care Services, Healthcare Managers, and Directors of Nursing to review regulatory compliance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to minimize risk and harm;
* Contribute to the development of continuous quality improvement measures within an effective quality and safety model;
* Review and improve information systems to support the delivery, monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of healthcare quality within Mowlam Healthcare;
* Lead audits to evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvements and make recommendations for further action;
Clinical Practice:
* Provide expert guidance and support to the Director of Care Services, Healthcare Managers, and Directors of Nursing on quality and compliance matters;
* Facilitate education and training programs for home management teams on regulatory compliance and standards;
* Develop a culture that promotes openness and transparency and supports the identification and application of best practice;
Quality Improvement Programmes:
* Develop and implement Nursing Home Quality Improvement Programmes in response to audit or adverse events;
* Provide oversight and direction on quality improvement programmes, patient care systems enhancements, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance;
* Contribute to the development of statutory and mandatory standards and advise the Care Services Team on necessary actions to implement compliance or change in practice.
