Job Purpose
Ensuring all customer specifications are completed accurately and on time. An active member of the innovation team supporting new product introductions to the business
Reports To
NPI Compliance Manager
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
* Liaise with Procurement & Suppliers to ensure all new raw materials sourced comply with customers codes of practice and plant specific requirements
* Be a key customer technical contact for specification related queries
* Work closely with internal departments to complete gold standard customer specifications in line with customer codes of practice across all technologies
* Understand HACCP & food legislative requirements, to keep up to date with relevant new legislation
* Generation of Product Information sheet for new products developed
* Calculation of nutritional information for new products or changes to existing products. Check and calculate any nutritional claims
* Completion of the relevant internal trackers for specification completion & control
* Attend all meetings as requested by the NPI Compliance Manager and engage positively and contribute to same
* Support the NPD process to ensure that all products launched are safe, legal and comply with all specific customer requirements
* Assist with raw material specifications and finished product specifications on our internal specification system
* Review and approve labels against new product specifications
* Generate pack copy for all customer artwork. Manage and approve all customer artwork ensuring adherence to all relevant labelling legislation
* Internal Systems (Insight) updates & approvals
* Competent in carrying out sensory analysis in house and assist new members of staff
* Proactively engage in future projects related to improving and streamlining procedures and practices within the group
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
* 3rd level Degree in Science / Food Science / Culinary Science or related discipline
* High energy, team player with strong record of meeting aggressive goals and objectives
* Strong people & project management skills
* Strong attention to detail skills required
* Good communication skills, self-starter, work under own initiative, good listener, assertive and highly motivated
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
