Job Summary
Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Ireland's leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential, Mental health and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.
We are currently seeking applications from a suitability qualified Basic Qualified Psychologist to work in the newly developed inpatient mental health service working alongside a Senior Clinical Psychologist and a diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance and enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role.
Location: Gormanston Co.Meath, only 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre

Job Objectives

* With the Team, maintain statistical records and input to service reports and other relevant reports as required.
* Ensure that professional standards are maintained.
* Monitor and keep up to date with developments in Psychology and early intervention, including attending training courses and participating in research and development.
* Contribute towards the on-going development of the service as required.
* Maintain quality standards within the service and participate in quality development.

Skills Requirement
Qualification:
* Possess a recognised professional post-graduate qualification in clinical psychology.
Or
If qualified outside the Republic of Ireland, have their qualification validated by the Department of Health or may be working towards meeting compensatory criteria set up by the Department. Validation letter needs to be included with this application and Nua can support with the provision of adequate supervision to meet any potential compensatory measures.
All candidates must meet the registration requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland
Experience:
* Experience of working in secure care hospital setting.
* Experience of providing thorough secure care psychology assessments and case formulation.
* A good knowledge of mental disorders, treatment options and approaches, and assessment frameworks.
* Experience of working with mental disorders.
* Experience of working with Intellectual Disabilities
* Ability to effectively and concisely communicate with team members, management.
