RecruitNet is hiring for a Director of Care for our client, a leading Nursing Home in Co Dublin.
Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Ensure continuous compliance with the Health Act **** and all relevant HIQA regulations and standards.
Lead quality assurance activities, including audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain regulatory readiness and support engagement with inspections and regulatory reviews.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Persons in Charge (PICs) and the wider nursing and care teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and reflective practice.
Support performance management, supervision, and workforce planning in collaboration with HR.
Ensure robust systems are in place for assessment, care planning, safeguarding, and escalation of care.
Act as a senior point of escalation for complex clinical and care-related issues.
Promote resident dignity, autonomy, and quality of life at all times.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations to align care delivery with operational planning and resource management.
Contribute to strategic planning and service development initiatives within the home.
Promote effective communication and collaboration across all departments.
Ensure adherence to professional standards, codes of practice, and regulatory requirements.
Promote evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
Support training, education, and competency development across the care workforce.
Requirements Registered Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register.
Significant senior leadership experience within residential, sub-acute, or comparable regulated care settings in Ireland.
Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations, governance frameworks, and inspection processes.
Proven experience in quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and effective decision-making skills.
Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, leadership, or a related discipline.
Experience leading services within large or complex care environments.
Evidence of a strong track record in achieving and supporting positive regulatory and inspection outcomes.
