Job Role:

* Electrical engineers design, develop and test electrical systems for buildings, vehicles and other equipment. They work on the creation of circuits, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* As a graduate electrical engineer, you will be responsible for executing various stages of a project, including reviewing electrical designs, validating panel schematics, creating commissioning schedules, and managing submittals.

Key Responsibilities:
">
1. Review electrical designs to identify gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications.
2. Validate panel schematics and cable sizing, making recommendations as necessary.
3. Create and manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and complete receipt verification once the equipment is delivered.
4. Update and record progress on system trackers that are aligned with the construction schedule.
5. Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and adequate space exists for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
6. Assist with snag & variations management by flagging issues on site and raising them with the relevant person, working with the project QS to submit costs for additional works.
7. Prepare project schedules, material take-offs, and out-to-market/supplier schedules.
8. Assist with the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
9. Prepare project programs using MS Project.
10. Seek clarification on queries with the design team through the RFI system.
11. Attend technical meetings with members of the design team, contractors, and in-house project teams.
12. Carry out document control, recording, and transmitting information.
13. Assist in preparing method statements and risk assessments for production activities.
14. Carry out quality control through inspections and snagging.
15. Prepare test packs for recording the completion of systems.
16. Create and manage commissioning schedules, assist with the commissioning of all installed systems, and ensure adherence to latest building and electrical design standards and regulations.
17. Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site and successful handover.
18. Creation of installed drawings and assistance in creating project O&M manuals.
19. Capable of walking down electrical systems to ensure compliance with specification.
20. Prepare construction/in-house design and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
21. Prepare wiring schematics for electrical services such as fire alarm, nurse call, intruder alarm, door access, emergency lighting.
22. Carry out lighting design calculations.
23. Carry out/review cable and cable containment sizing calculations.
24. Assist with the preparation of technical documentation for issue of subcontractor work packages.

Requirements:

* Detailed understanding of HV and MV network requirements in industrial settings, particularly emphasizing resilience and studies requirements.
* Experience with energy management systems and integration of automated control systems to electrical networks.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Detailed understanding of all electrical rules and regulations, with particular knowledge of IS****, IS****, and IS***** being a preference.
* Excellent communicator/strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent record keeper and administration skills.
