**Hybrid**We are seeking an MEP Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to work with our Estimating Department across all regions in the preparation of estimates and successful project execution. This is a technical role involving cost estimation, tender preparation, and pre-construction support for MEP Systems across various sectors including Industrial, Pharmaceutical, DC, Commercial, Residential and Public.Key requirements:3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying3 - 5 years in a similar roleGood working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical work packagesExperience working on large scale data centres will be an advantageReporting to the Estimating Director and working with other Pre-Construction Departments as necessary,your key responsibilities will include:Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for MEP Systems on major projectsReview client specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to produce competitive bidsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure constructability and feasibilityLiaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain accurate pricingIdentify risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for value engineeringSupport pre-construction planning and tender presentationsMaintain detailed documentation of all estimating processes, assumptions, and calculationsEnsure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and relevant regulationsAdvising on procurement strategyMaintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current useUnderstanding the implications of health and safety regulations.The key individual will be articulate with good numeracy and time management skills. Will possess the ability to work within a team and also independently. Have the ability to prioritise tasks while maintaining good communication and engagement with the wider organisation.
