We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Estimator to become part of our team. The Senior Estimator will be essential during the pre-construction phase, delivering precise cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time. This role encompasses everything from estimating to handover and is focused on commercial and client aspects. A thorough knowledge of construction processes, materials, and market trends is necessary for this position.Managing all aspects of the Quantity Surveying and Estimating processDevelop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for modular construction projectAnalyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimatesManage and develop Assistant EstimatorCost Management of the projectOpening up new business opportunities with industry professional and clientsPreparing monthly project payment applications and cost reportsDevelop detailed bid proposals and present estimates to management for reviewMonitor project costs throughout the bidding process to ensure competitivenessMaintain organised records of all estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentationWork with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing informationIdentify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standardsAssist in analysing project risks and incorporating contingency allowances as necessaryKeep abreast of market trends, new materials, and construction techniques that may impact costsSuitable candidates should have:Degree in QSA minimum of 5-7 years of experience in estimating within the modular construction sector is preferred; however, at least 5-7 years of experience in estimating within the broader construction industry is required.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite programmes.Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and team members.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.Knowledge of cost control principles and practices is highly desirable.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
