Fleet and Plant Procurement Specialist
As a seasoned procurement professional, you'll play a pivotal role in sourcing and acquiring equipment, materials, and services for assigned projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business success through strategic purchasing decisions.
* Purchasing and hiring equipment, materials, and/or services for assigned projects is a key responsibility of this position.
* You will be responsible for the procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clearance.
* Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
* Conducting bid analysis and processing purchase orders are essential duties in this role.
* Collaborating with project teams and planning functions to create and maintain procurement schedules.
* Liaising with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries.
* This role requires autonomy and independence, with only general supervision.
* Providing regular reports on purchasing activities will help inform business decisions.
* BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS such as sites and suppliers is crucial for success in this position.
* Negotiating vendor alliances and rebate agreements will drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
* Assisting in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials will optimize resource utilization.
* Ensuring adherence to the Authority Matrix is essential for ensuring effective decision-making processes.
* Conducting site visits to meet with project teams will foster collaboration and improve communication.
* Euro-travel may be required for this position.
