Your new role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and posted. You will reconcile bank statements to verify the accuracy of financial data and manage both accounts payable and receivable processes. You will also be expected to prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax filings in a timely manner. Supporting the preparation of financial reports and budgets is a key part of the role, as is monitoring cash flow and forecasting financial trends to support business planning.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role. Proficiency in accounting software is essential, along with a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are critical, as is the ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also important for collaborating with team members and external stakeholders.Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
