JOB DESCRIPTIONFREIGHT FORWARDER OCEAN/AIR FREIGHT (1 Year FTC)Short DescriptionOcean/Air import and export operator responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments. Liaising with multiple parties to give quality customer service and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesThe below list is not exhaustive and may change or develop depending on the needs of the business.Track and trace, prepping inbound shipments for importDocumentation checking making sure all in order for clearances and deliveryGenerating relevant documentation such as booking confirmations, delivery orders etc.Managing communications with Carriers, Hauliers, Customers, Geodis Offices, CustomsKPI Management and ReportingSpot Quotations and pricing for Customers and Geodis sister officesCustomer Billing and management of supplier invoicing with accounts dept.Maintaining excellent communication with all involved parties via telephone, email, face to faceGeneral administrative duties within Department, keeping all filing and documentation up to dateReporting, generating and delivering analysis for specific customer reportsCovering colleagues during times of need (will be cross trained on customers and imports/ exports)You may be required to carry out any other reasonable duties within your capabilities should the needs of the company require itDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
