Field Engineer / Surveyor - Water Networks Location: Field based, multiple locations in Ireland Sector: Water and wastewater infrastructure Employment Type: Long Term Contract Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Role introduction We are seeking a Field Engineer / Surveyor - Water Networks for a field-based role across multiple locations in Ireland, supporting the delivery of essential water network projects. The role sits within the water infrastructure sector, with a focus on supporting water network improvements aligned to the Uisce ireann Water Strategy. It will suit candidates with experience in water networks, survey or field operations, project coordination, technical support, or watermain delivery within water networks, leakage reduction or district metering environments. Role overview In this role, you will support the day-to-day coordination and tracking of activities relating to water network management. The successful candidate will be involved in helping to locate existing water infrastructure, update and maintain accurate records of water infrastructure, loggers, district metering boundaries. You will contribute to work connected to the Uisce ireann Water Leakage Strategy, assisting with the coordination of operational and technical inputs across national and regional teams. The role requires a structured and detail-focused approach, particularly in relation to reporting packs, status summaries, audit trails, meeting coordination, and process documentation. You will also work across a range of stakeholders to help keep project and programme information organised, current, and accessible. Key Responsibilities Track and monitor programme requests to ensure accurate and timely progress of survey findings and network updates Support water network management activities associated with leakage and related operational programmes Maintain maps and supporting records in line with programme requirements Use reporting and management systems to capture, update, and present programme information Assist with technical and administrative coordination across field and programme delivery activities Support the smooth flow of communication between teams involved in water network and leakage strategy delivery Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience Experience in programme, project, field operations, or technical coordination roles Strong understanding of water network, leakage, or district metering operations Excellent organisational, documentation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple inputs, stakeholders, and deadlines effectively Experience in regulatory reporting, leakage analytics, or asset management is desirable Proficiency in Network Management System, Maximo, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, or equivalent reporting tools is desirable A structured and detail-oriented approach to reporting, coordination, and record management Ability to work effectively in a field-based, multi-location environment Experience supporting operational delivery within water or wastewater infrastructure projects would be advantageous How to apply If you believe this Field Engineer / Surveyor - Water Networks role aligns with your experience, please apply via the button provided.
