Quantity Surveyor Role

Our client is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Ireland.


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial success of projects through cost control, procurement, and stakeholder engagement across various phases of construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractor procurement, processing payment applications, measuring project progress, and preparing valuations and final accounts.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, strong commercial awareness, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. They must also be able to perform in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a proactive approach to accuracy, accountability, and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage subcontractor procurement, including preparation and administration of order documentation.
* Process subcontractor payment applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
* Measure project progress and assist in preparing valuations, final accounts, and retention releases.
* Support effective change management processes and ensure adherence to all commercial procedures.
* Prepare cost and procurement documentation to support accurate project delivery.
* Collaborate with the buying team to identify material cost-saving opportunities.
* Monitor and control project costs, including forecasting and regular financial reporting.
* Administer contracts in line with project specifications and company policies.


Requirements:

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within the construction or manufacturing sectors.

Strong commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

A proactive approach to accuracy, accountability, and process improvement.
