This role is central to delivering community-based fundraising events, maximising participation, and helping generate vital income to support individuals and families affected by a long-term health condition.
About the Role Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, and working closely with the wider fundraising team, the Community Events Coordinator will oversee key fundraising events from initial planning and promotion through to delivery and post-event stewardship.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with volunteers and supporters, and wants to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities Event Coordination & Delivery Lead on core fundraising events to ensure they are well organised, engaging, and achieve agreed income targets.
Develop, update, and deliver comprehensive event plans, including promotions, participant recruitment, fundraising follow-up, income tracking, and receipting.
Provide excellent supporter care, including post-event thank-yous and income reconciliation.
Digital & Content Support Create and publish engaging content to promote events across social media, email newsletters, the organisations website, and other platforms.
Provide copy for the organisations quarterly supporter magazine.
Data & Administration Accurately record and process all event-related income using the organisations database/CRM.
Make follow-up calls to donors, volunteers, and fundraisers to maintain strong relationships.
Team Collaboration Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and Community Events Officer to help deliver the fundraising strategy and meet annual income targets.
Support wider fundraising activities and organisational needs as required.
