Contract Available:Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday- Friday 09:00-17:00

What You Will Do
* Schedule and conduct appointments or respond to unscheduled presentations at the public counter.
* Interview and assess clients seeking homeless services.
* Provide advice and support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
* Participate in the Homeless Action Team as required.
* Assist clients in sourcing suitable private rented accommodation.
* Support clients in emergency accommodation to secure long-term housing and reduce reliance on emergency placements.
* Help clients settle into accommodation and connect with relevant external services.
* Act on referrals received through the interdisciplinary referral protocol.
* Guide eligible individuals through the social housing application process.
* Investigate cases thoroughly and liaise with relevant authorities such as Gardaí and Community Welfare Officers.
* Improve access to health and social services for people experiencing homelessness.
* Maintain accurate client files and records.
* Submit monthly reports to the Coordinator detailing caseloads and move-on plans.
* Promote client autonomy and independence through a client-centered approach.
* Establish and maintain links with local services, housing providers, and community groups.
* Manage an assigned caseload in line with Care and Case Management protocols.
* Respond appropriately to child protection and welfare concerns.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments including finance, administration, research, and public awareness.
* Comply with all relevant policies including Child Protection, Confidentiality, Health and Safety, Personnel, and Customer Complaints.
* Engage in regular supervision sessions with line management.
* Undertake additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Coordinator.
What You Will Need
* Relevant third-level qualification at degree level (e.g. Social Care, Psychology, Sociology).
* Experience working in a social care setting.
* Experience handling child protection and welfare concerns appropriately.
* Experience conducting assessments, including risk assessments.
* Experience developing support plans and completing reviews.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
* Willingness to develop professional skills through supervision.
* Advocacy experience with a similar client group (desirable).
* Strong report writing skills (desirable).
* Proficiency in information technology (desirable).
