The award-winning MICHELIN Guide restaurant Adrift at Dunmore House is looking to expand our kitchen team for 2025. Adrift featured in Ireland's top 101 restaurants 2025 & winner of Food & Wine Magazine's best Hotel restaurant.
We focus on local produce for menus in Adrift, using our on-site coastal garden, while working with renowned West Cork suppliers.
We are looking for a Sous Chef with fine dining experience to join our team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
-collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff in developing new menu items, contributing creative ideas in fine dining cuisine
-maintain high standards of food quality and presentation of dishes
-oversee the preparation of all dishes
-assist in maintaining kitchen inventory and order supplies
-work with the head chef to develop and maintain food cost and waste controls
-ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
QUALIFICATIONS
-2+ years of experience in a sous chef or similar role in fine dining restaurants
-experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
-ability to work well under pressure
-excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
-creativity in food presentation and passion for creating delightful dishes
REQUIREMENTS
-PERMIT TO WORK IN IRELAND
-GOOD LEVEL OF ENGLISH REQUIRED
-FLEXIBILITY TO WORK IRREGULAR HOURS, INCLUDING EVENING, AND HOLIDAYS

Pay: €30,000.00-€34,000.00 per year
