Overview
An organisation based in Dublin is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead its transition to cloud infrastructure (AWS). This role will drive the adoption of DevOps practices, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable application delivery. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to align DevOps strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and deliver the organisation's DevOps strategy.
2. Lead and mentor DevOps teams, ensuring effective collaboration across development and operations.
3. Implement automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
4. Oversee cloud infrastructure, tooling, and scalable solution design.
5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise application and infrastructure performance.
6. Manage vendor performance and incident response processes.
7. Ensure system resilience through strong backup and disaster recovery practices.
8. Drive continuous testing, quality assurance, and process improvement.
9. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure infrastructure supports deployment needs.
10. Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and best practices.
11. Maintain compliance evidence for audit and governance purposes.
Skills & Experience
12. 5-7+ years' leadership experience in IT/cloud infrastructure.
13. Proven experience leading on-prem to cloud migrations.
14. Strong expertise in AWS, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
15. Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS).
16. Experience managing offshore teams and large-scale environments.
17. Strong communication, collaboration, and strategic planning skills.
18. Ability to deliver in high-governance, fast-paced environments.
