Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting an ambitious and experienced day-time Pastry Chef to join the culinary team of a well-established and busy hospitality property currently undergoing refurbishment outside Drogheda. The property is located on the Meath/Louth border, making it an ideal opportunity for someone with their own transport. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar pastry-focused role and will take charge of the day-to-day operations of the pastry section. You will work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver high-quality products with excellent presentation and consistency. Key Responsibilities: Design, produce, and present a variety of pastries, scones, plated desserts, tarts, and cakes, ensuring high standards in both taste and appearance. Consistently deliver dishes to exceptional standards and contribute to menu development. Ensure adherence to all HACCP guidelines and food safety standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient pastry section at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen sections to support smooth overall operations. Keep up to date with current pastry trends and techniques. Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-quality kitchen environment. Strong pastry and dessert preparation skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Thorough understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations. Flexibility with working hours, including weekends. Good standard of spoken and written English. Full working rights in Ireland.
