OverviewCommercial Account Handler | SMEWe are recruiting an experienced Commercial Account Handler within the Operations team. In this role, you will lead the management and servicing of a commercial portfolio of customers and provide end-to-end servicing to a panel of mid-large customers.We would welcome applications from experienced candidates who wish to embark on a challenging career with Brown & Brown Ireland.ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing servicing to existing clients and closely manage relationships throughout the renewal cycle to ensure retention of the account; as required, communicate strategically with customers.Analyse customer needs and coverage and identify opportunities to strengthen their risk management structures.Market and present customer accounts to insurers and negotiate premiums on their behalf.Collect and submit any information required by underwriters and follow up to ensure placement of the risk.Input all information correctly onto Applied Relay and maintain clear and concise file notes.Monitor and review business figures (new business, renewals, fees & commissions, margins) and ensure collection of monies due on the account.Mentor and train Account Handlers as required.Attend customer meetings with the Sales team on prospects and provide subject matter expert support as required.Lead and participate in business projects as they arise.Stay abreast of insurer appetites and competitor activity in the marketplace and react accordingly.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, Central Bank codes, and company procedures and ethics.Knowledge, skills, and experience3+ years’ experience working in commercial broking OR insurance experienceDetailed knowledge of commercial insurance product ranges across markets for the following lines:Commercial PropertyEmployer’s Liability & Public LiabilityProfessional IndemnityCommercial FleetSpecialist Insurance (e.g., Agri, Marine, Engineering, Credit, Construction Bonds, Cyber, etc.)Customer knowledge and understanding of their business and industry sectorsProven track record in customer account management and retentionClear and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory and legal environmentBenefitsMarket Competitive SalaryDiscounted Personal InsurancesAn active Sports & Social ClubPension & Associated BenefitsGenerous Parental Leave PoliciesStock Purchase SchemeInsurance Exam Support Scheme including paid study leaveHybrid Working OpportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOnsite parking
