Commercial Contracts / Quantity Surveyor (QS) OfficerWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Contracts / QS Officer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of construction and infrastructure projects within a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:Small Works Contracts: Administration and commercial oversight of small works packages, including soft landscaping and watermain works (e.g. LY projects).Variation Management: Assessment and management of contract variations, such as raft foundation changes.Collateral Warranties: Coordination, tracking, and management of collateral warranties.Warranties & Performance Bonds: Monitoring and tracking of all warranties and performance bonds.Cost Control: Supporting cost control across construction contracts and miscellaneous project costs.Contract Handover: Coordination and tracking of all commercial and contractual documentation required for contract close-out and lender handover.Commercial Dashboards: Ownership of updating and maintaining all commercial data within project dashboards.Key Requirements:Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Engineering).Up to 4 years' experience in a contracting or commercial role.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Experience working within PV regulation frameworks.Technical exposure to other technologies such as offshore wind, CSP, hydrogen (H₂) or similar is highly desirable.Strong understanding of procurement principles, including obtaining and evaluating three quotations on a like-for-like basis.Solid knowledge of contract law and legal principles, with the ability to identify and flag contractual risks.Demonstrated aptitude for cost management, reporting, and presentation.A proactive team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Full, valid driver's licence.This role offers the chance to work on technically diverse projects, develop your commercial expertise, and be part of a collaborative team where your contributions make a real impact.
