For over 175 years, YMCA Dublin has been supporting and empowering young people, families and communities across the city. We provide childcare, youth and community services — creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can belong and grow. As we expand our network of community hubs, we are recruiting a Property Development Officer to help shape and deliver high-quality facilities that respond to local needs. In this new role, you will contribute to the planning, development and improvement of YMCA Dublin community facilities across Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Development Director in acquiring and developing new YMCA community hubs.
• Manage and support capital projects, including acquisitions, refurbishments and new builds, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Liaise with TUSLA, local authorities, developers, architects, valuers, estate agents and solicitors to progress schemes.
• Coordinate surveys, valuations, feasibility studies and economic appraisals.
• Maintain accurate project files, financial records and compliance documentation.
• Manage planning permission processes, TUSLA DASC compliance and statutory requirements.
• Prepare business cases and funding proposals for capital projects.
• Monitor project budgets and capital expenditure.
• Provide market analysis, property search support and due diligence.
• Represent YMCA Dublin at meetings, forums and stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications & Experience (Essential):
• Degree in construction, surveying, architecture, civil engineering, property or urban planning.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, development or property management.
• Strong project management, negotiation and transaction-management skills.
• Experience supporting senior teams or managing projects independently.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a car.
Desirable:
• Experience working with an Approved Housing Body (AHB).
• Experience in the community or voluntary sector.
• Awareness of childcare or social-inclusion policy.
• Knowledge of conveyancing and contract procedures.
