Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team in Ireland. As a key member of the Office of the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in providing cutting-edge protection and peace of mind to our customers.

You will utilize your expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to identify opportunities for application across the personal security space, enhancing McAfee's threat protection capabilities.

Leverage data visualization and storytelling skills to present research to diverse audience members, ranging from fellow data scientists to senior executives.

This position is located in Ireland, requiring candidates within commuting distance to Dublin or Cork.

Responsibilities

* Apply subject matter expertise in traditional ML, LLMs, and Generative AI to develop machine learning-driven solutions.
* Apply statistical and machine learning knowledge to improve upon existing protection capabilities using supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques.
* Apply data wrangling skills to clean data and build pipelines for model monitoring dashboards and machine learning models.
* Apply data mining and exploration skills to uncover insights for data-driven decision making.
* Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities utilizing big data from various sources.
* Use data visualization techniques to convey research results and recommendations backed by data.
* Own data science projects, focusing on delivering solutions to address original problem statements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* You have worked with and understand LLMs and Generative AI.
* You have 5-7 years of experience building high-quality machine learning models.
* Experience in fine-tuning LLMs and classification is key.
* You possess a Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or other quantitative field.
* You have extensive experience with Python, PySpark, R, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Databricks.
* You are self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with an international team.
* You have strong problem-solving skills applicable to data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, model development, model measurement, model deployment, and model monitoring.
