Position Objective:Work as part of the litigation team assisting with a team of Legal Executives alongside reporting into the Team Manager.
The role will primarily involve debt recovery proceedings, both secured and unsecured.
The Senior Legal Executive will be responsible for supporting a team of litigation legal executives ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of cases.
The role involves supporting the team's day-to-day activities, monitoring performance, providing support and guidance, and reporting to the Team Manager.
The Senior Legal Executive will also act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of legal services.

Key Responsibilities: - Team Support and Guidance: - Lead, motivate, and support a team of litigation legal executives, ensuring individual and team objectives are met.
- Allocate workloads, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal standards.

- Case Management: - Supporting the handling of litigation cases by team members, ensuring timely progress and resolution.
- Provide guidance on case strategy, tactics, and decision-making .
- Ensure all legal documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to case timelines and legal procedures.
- Operational Efficiency: - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase team productivity.
- Work with the Team Manager to develop and implement strategies that optimise workflow.
- Ensure proper use of case management systems and reporting tools to track team performance and case progression.
- Stakeholder Communication: - Serve as a point of contact for client and internal queries related to cases handled by the team.
- Liaise with external partners such as law firms, clients, and courts when necessary.
- Report regularly to the Team Manager on team performance, case progress, and any potential risks or issues.
- Training and Development: - Provide training and mentorship to team members, particularly junior and new staff.
- Implement a FAQ style on line mini tests - Facilitate knowledge-sharing within the team to ensure consistency in legal practices and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in litigation laws, regulations, and best practices, and ensure team members are informed.
- Risk and Compliance: - Ensure the team complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and escalate any potential risks or issues within cases to the Team Manager.
- Ensure that data protection, confidentiality, and conflict-of-interest guidelines are strictly adhered to.

1-2-1 & coaching and training Team meeting and briefing Support HR functions recruitment, performance and attendance management etc.
Setting Up a New Client on PE (Contract, AML, etc.
); Drafting District, Circuit and High Court proceedings; Service of Proceedings; Drafting Statutory Declarations and Affidavits of Service; Instructing summons servers and tracing agents; Drafting motions; Taking instructions from clients; Assisting the solicitors in instructing local town agents; Briefing counsel; Preparation of briefs; Defended matters i.e.
briefing counsel.
Agents, notice of trial etc; Engaging with Counsel phone & email Dealing with incoming correspondence from agents, solicitors, and defendants; Liaising with clients over court outcome and next steps; Drafting letters; Contributing to departmental monthly target; Liaising with court services; Dealing with incoming telephone calls from agents, solicitors and defendants; Drafting correction rate of less than 10% Managing a high volume, fast moving workload; Skills and Experience: Previous experience in similar role an advantage Previous Repossession Experience an advantage; Previous experience in debt recovery also an advantage; Previous experience in case management systems, process automation and conversion to digital processes an advantage Pro-active thinker and problem solver.
